Competitive advantages to the practice with patient savings, additional revenue stream to the practice and other patient comfort issues have increased our conversion rate on these new lens based procedures. The EyeOR suite has increased our quality of care to the patients in all the things we do as we have now increased our QA/QC with the adaptation of the AAAHC standards throughout our practice and within our staff training and patient interaction. The EyeOR suite in conjunction with the work we did together in this development project has been a tremendous experience and continues to help us be the best we can be to our patients.

EyeOR provided guidance on all areas of project development and continue to provide us consult in QA/QC for accreditation standards as well as helped us equip our facility with the best equipment and suppliers for the items needed in the operating room. We have a whole new look to the future and we are pleased we have provided the EyeOR facility to our patients in this new mega-trend. It will serve us well throughout the future when more and more Boomers enter the world of refractive surgery and require a lens-based procedure.
Cindy Haskell, Administrator discusses the investment that was made to provide the EyeOR suite in their practice. When looking at the initial investment, the breakeven on investment was obtained within 4 months of operation. Cost per case is much less than our research into alternative facilities. The biggest savings and return on investment is the cost-efficiency of the OBS in house which provides strong cost savings in the operational line items and administrative costs with personnel and surgeon. The practice also enjoys a new revenue stream with the facility fees charged to these lens-based procedures in our suite that we would not have enjoyed when using the alternative ASC and hospital facilities in the area. The EyeOR suite investment has paid for itself over and over every week we use this surgical room with our lens-based procedures.
Cindy Haskell, Administrator discusses the transition their practice made in building the EyeOR suite in the office. EyeOR helped us educate and train our staff to make good decisions along the way with build out as well as getting our people up to speed ahead of our AAAHC audits and accreditation standards. EyeOR also helped us negotiate with vendors and suppliers of all equipment. Education in sterile technique and other operating room standards where provided by EyeOR with a Policy and Procedures Manual that helped all our personnel stay on task with all areas of responsibility for our compliance with these high standards. We are proud of the fact that we achieved the longest accreditation approval you can get with our first auditÉthree years. EyeOR was very instrumental in this goal being reached and I donŐt think we could have done it without them. It was a great experience and we continue to use EyeOR to stay in compliance with these requirements from AAAHC.
